    Is it any wonder that teenage girls do not only want to dress like these models but also want to look like them?

    If only these impressionable young minds knew that no one wants to have sex with those skinny creatures; they might just save themselves from their disastrous and unattainable cravings.

    Hop over to tumblr _ one of the busiest hangouts for teens. You’ll find thousands of depressed youngsters, swirling in self-created abysses of frustration and self-hate. They are disgusted with their maturing bodies because their bodies are not turning out to be like Barbie’s.

    Blame it on their parents for not telling them that, Barbie is just a doll!

    Blame everything on the parents except the real culprit!

    No, the real culprit is not the media; even though, the omnipresent media exercises great influence on these vulnerable minds. The real culprit is you.

    Yeah! I said it.

    It is not the responsibility of your parents, the media, the fashion overlords or trivial tabloids to set your beauty standards. It is your responsibility.

    And to a small extent, it is between you and that guy of substance _ that awesome dude that, you totally want to do. Above all, not those flashy, superficial ballers, to whom, popularity is the only measure of value.

    I might as well tell you. Even those superficial dudes; who will get you pregnant in a jiffy, do not want to get it on with bony chicks. No one loves lifeless girls with shoulder bones popping out like those ghastly creatures which, you see in war-torn, famine-stricken, shit holes of the earth.

    Only the media loves skinny girls.

    Why do the media intentionally sell you this illusive fantasy?

    They do it for the money! The advertisement industry spends billions buying the best psychologist whom, money can buy. These sophisticated Ph.D.s are experts in the art of depth marketing.

    Depth marketing is a compass term for all the subliminal persuasion techniques, which pierce through your conscious mind and implant messages directly into your subconscious mind.

    The only job of the advertisement agency’s psychologists is to keep you dissatisfied with your body. Why do they want you dissatisfied with your body? They keep you dissatisfied with your body because they want to sell you the product; that will relieve you of the dissatisfaction.

    Marketers create a problem which didn’t exist. They sell you on an illusion that something’s wrong with your body. Then, they turn around and sell you on the promise that, their solution will solve the problem.

    But they do not want the imaginary problem solved at all. They want it to eternally persist; so that, they can milk every penny out of you; till, you drop dead.

    Isn’t that pure genius? What could you expect, when big money buys out the Ph.D.s?

    The only problem here is that, the lives of so many innocent teens is being ruined by this massive marketing scam.

    Like I said earlier, I have been unable to persuade most teens to give up these impossible skinny ideals. I only hope that, they make it to their twenties. There is no better teacher than experience. By the time, they are in their twenties; experience would have taught them that, no guy wants to make love to a skeletal framework.

    What kind of silhouette are guys into?

    Guys are hopelessly infatuated with the hourglass silhouette.

    The hourglass silhouette is the epitome of female divinity. It is a scientifically proven fact that, men are genetically programmed to worship women, who are shaped like an hourglass. Men see women with the perfect waist to hips ratio of 0.7 as Goddesses.

    You can’t do a ton about your hips but you can easily get rid of that fat in your midsection.

    This is not Victoria’s secret. It is an open secret that, the babes with the flat stomachs get all the glares at the beach. You want to be one of those babes, not primarily for the men but rather for yourself.

    Once a habit’s neural pathway has been dug out in your brain, it remains there forever. That is why it is easy for your old habits to creep in, if you lower your guard.

    Your driving skills do not disappear, if you go for a few years without driving. You can easily recover your driving skills anytime you choose. Your piano skills do not disappear, if you go for a few years without playing the piano. You can easily recover your piano skills because the neural pathway of that skill is still in your brain.

    Here is the point. Self-discipline is a skill.

    The exact same mechanism operates with destructive habits.

    Your tendency to misuse alcohol does not disappear, if you go sober for a few years. You can easily fall back into the fangs of alcoholism, if you sip just one glass of booze.

    Your tendency to over-eat does not disappear, if you discipline your appetite for a few years. You can easily return to gluttony, if your discipline breaks down.

    This means that the work is not over after 30days. You have to remain vigilant and keep re-enforcing your new habit.

    Once you have your regular exercise habit going, you can move to deal with your eating habits.

      And this is not sacrifice. There is a big misunderstanding between sacrifice and prioritization.

      Sacrifice is giving up something more valuable for something less valuable.

      For example, you are sacrificing, if you give up your gym session to watch TV. Each time you sacrifice, you become less valuable as a person.

      Prioritization is giving up something less valuable for something more valuable. For example, you are prioritizing, if you give up TV to hit the gym. Each time you prioritize, you become a better person.


      Prioritization is affirming that which; you value more, over that which, you value less. Deep down, you value having a flat stomach more than you value watching TV.

      Initially, prioritization is painful. But the more you do it, the easier it gets. Until one amazing day, it becomes part of you, just like any other habit.

      At this specific moment, a thousand impulses will take hold of your mind. You will find yourself, conjuring the most shockingly brilliant excuses why, you shouldn’t go to the gym.

      You do not experience these rationalizations as excuses. You experience them as perfectly legitimate reasons. And before you realize it, you are a helpless prisoner of the omnipotent “I don’t feel like it” spell.

      No, Harry Potter hasn’t taken hold of you; neither has the wizard of Oz.

      You are just being your lazy, defeatist, old self.

      The Donald Trump question is the unbeatable formula to snap you out of your trance.

      Ask yourself the Donald Trump question, “what am I supposed to be thinking about right now?”

      The objective of the question is to refocus your mind on your gym session.

      Answer the question by giving yourself all the reasons why you must be off to gym, doing your abdominal exercises. Convince yourself that, you must do your cardio.

      You won’t get your flat stomach by simply playing mind games. It is time to get your ass off the couch and hit the floor sprinting.

      Bouts of motivation won’t give you that sexy tummy. Disregard the hymns of pious praises sung on the altar of motivation. Self-discipline not motivation is the ultimate key that will propel you past the sloughs of “I don’t feel like it.”

      “I don’t feel like it.”

      Remember that phrase.

      Pay attention to that sensation the next time it raises its despicable head. “I don’t feel like it,” is the reason you give up. “I don’t feel like it,” is reason why you need self-discipline.

      If you do not think that, you can overcome the fleeting moments of “I don’t feel like it,” you might as well give up now.
